As to topping off the fluid, it's supposed to be "full" when the level is at the top of the fill pipe at the back of the tractor. If you have any bleed down in the hydro system, the fluid will always be at the top of the pipe, and possibly overflowing. WebJan 11, 2024 · Check your fuel flow. Insufficient fuel flow will also give you similar headaches. Remove the fuel line from the carb. Place the fuel line into a pail. Turn on the fuel and watch the flow. My guess is it will flow nicely at first then slow to a dribble. On John Deere tractors they have a fuel filter where the fuel line connects to the carb.
