WebA fitted line plot of the resulting data, ( Alcohol Arm data ), looks like this: The plot suggests that there is a decreasing linear relationship between alcohol and arm strength. It also suggests that there are no unusual data points in the data set. WebThe fitted line plot displays the response and predictor data. The plot includes the regression line, which represents the regression equation. You can also choose to display the confidence interval for the fitted values. Interpretation. Use the fitted line plot to examine the relationship between the response variable and the predictor variable.
WebApr 13, 2024 · Note that plot.gam() is producing a partial effect plot and as such it doesn't necessarily go through the data; it is only showing the effect of s(x), which is centred about the data average. What plot.gam() shows as data are actually partial residuals, not the data.predict() returns the actual fitted response (so b0 + s(x) ) and hence it should go … WebJul 8, 2024 · You were spot on on the intent, I have multiple data sets and multiple fit lines, hence the need to differentiate them by style and color. Introducing the argument fit_semi(2) solves the issue. Formatting of the line does affect the data points but I solved that by moving the fit line formatting upstream of the scatter plotting command.
